Position patients on examining table and place specified coil (receiver) near the area of interest, following Radiologist protocols. Demonstrate use of communication microphone for patient-technologist interaction during examination. Enter patient data (history, anatomical area, scan orientation, position) into computer. Input scan sequence commands and adjust MRI transmitters/receivers as required. Monitor patient safety and comfort via control room window and closed circuit TV.View and assess image quality on video display screen. Photograph images by entering data on camera keyboard. Alert staff to safety risks associated with metal in the magnet room. Perform other duties as assigned.
Skills:
1-3 years’ experience as an MRI Technician. Strong critical thinking and decisive judgement skills; ability to work with minimal supervision. Excellent communication skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word and Excel).Ability to read and interpret documents. Capable of working independently. Med Ninjas Job ID #18238.
