Maintenance Technician
Job Summary:
The Maintenance Technician will perform routine and preventive maintenance, as well as minor repairs, on company properties to ensure they are safe, functional, and well-maintained. This role requires a versatile skill set, including knowledge in carpentry, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems.
Key Responsibilities: Property Maintenance:
- Conduct routine tasks, including painting, flooring repairs, and drywall patching.
- Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair electrical and plumbing systems.
- Perform property inspections to proactively identifymaintenance needs.
- Construction Assistance:
- Support make-ready processes and small construction projects.
- Maintain tools and materials needed for maintenance and repairs.
- HVAC Systems:
- Perform basic HVAC maintenance, such as filter replacements and troubleshooting malfunctions.
- Safety and Compliance:
- Adhere to safety guidelines and building codes inall maintenance and construction tasks.
- Participate in safety training and create a secure work environment.
- Emergency Repairs:
- Respond to emergency repair requests, including after-hourscalls as needed.
- Record Keeping:
- Document all completed maintenance and repair tasksin AppFolioMaintain an organized inventory of supplies and tools.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training is a plus.2+ years of experience in building maintenance or construction.
Proficient in plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and carpentry.
Ability to interpret safety regulations and maintenance guidelines.
Problem-solving skills and keen attention to detail.
