Registered Nurse (RN) - Endoscopy Per Diem | Day Shift | $65.00/hour Jamaica Hospital Medical Center | Queens, NYIf you are an experienced Endoscopy or GI procedural RN looking for the flexibility of a per diem day-shift opportunity, we want to hear from you. Jamaica Hospital Medical Center is seeking a Per Diem Endoscopy RN with the clinical judgment and procedural nursing experience to care for patients throughout the endoscopy process. This is a specialty procedural nursing role and is intended for RNs with relevant Endoscopy, GI, or closely related procedural nursing experience.
What You'll Do:- Assess and prepare patients for endoscopic procedures
- Provide nursing care and monitoring before, during, and after procedures
- Assist physicians and the clinical team during endoscopic procedures
- Monitor patients receiving sedation and recognize changes requiring prompt intervention
- Support safe recovery, discharge readiness, and patient/family education
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation and follow established infection-prevention and patient-safety protocols

Requirements:- What We're Looking ForCurrent New York State RN license and registration required
- Endoscopy/GI or comparable procedural nursing experience strongly preferred
- Current BLS requiredACLS preferred
- Experience with procedural patient assessment, monitoring, recovery, and sedation-related care preferred
- Strong clinical assessment, communication, and emergency-response skills
- Ability to function effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented procedural environment
This is not a general bedside RN opportunity. Candidates should have nursing experience that demonstrates readiness to work safely and effectively in an Endoscopy/procedural setting.
