Collaborates Yarn Operations management to ensure that quality checks are in acceptable ranges Duties and ResponsibilitiesWorking knowledge of the masterbatch department, production, and all recipesProcess and document all samples and new color developmentsKeeping records of all masterbatches in process and completedKeep and check all quality reportsWorking knowledge of all quality control guidelinesMake all quality checks to insure all masterbatch products are in spec. (color, moisture, etc.)Knowledge of Injection Molder and its operation for retrieval of sample specimenKnowledge of X-Rite Color Eye Spectrophotometer and its operationCollect and file all quality, machine, issue, and completion checksCheck elongation, and tenacity on all extrudersInvestigate quality problems as neededAcquire retains of all new lots of color concentrate coming inTake bobbin and work order for each face fiber order / first run of new lot of color concentrate order to lab for testingAccomplish manufacturing staff results by communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results; coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; initiating, coordinating, and enforcing systems, policies, and proceduresQualificationsEducation: HS diploma/GED requiredExperience: Experienced in Manufacturing Quality ControlCourses/Certifications/TrainingSuperior written and verbal communication skillsFamiliar with personal computers with a working knowledge of Microsoft OfficeBilingual preferred
