Heavy Duty Diesel Mechanic

Job DescriptionJob DescriptionRESPONSIBILITIES:- Inspect, diagnose, and repair diesel engines in various vehicles and equipment- Perform routine maintenance on diesel/gas engines including oil changes, filter replacements, and fluid checks- Use hand tools to disassemble engine parts for repair or replacement- Operate heavy equipment to test repaired engines- Conduct electrical repairs-Cleans/ repairs and or reconditions equipment and its components-Identify the problem and any cause of failure-Repairs and/ or replaces parts as needed after proper diagnosis-Replaces and adjusts breaks and all components to breaks-Adjusts, repairs or replaces all wiring hardware to lighting on work trucks-Works with hydraulic jacks, hoists and other tools required to complete work safely-Repairs/ replaces alternators, compressors, differentials and transmissions-Can repair/ replace parts such as starters, alternators starters, pumps and clutches.-Can be able to service transmissions-Maintains a safe and clean work environment
