Registered Nurse (RN) We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse specializing in Progressive Care to join our team. This role requires a strong background in cardiac care, including advanced competencies in monitoring and managing patients with complex cardiac conditions.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide direct patient care to individuals with cardiac diagnoses, including those undergoing cardiothoracic surgeries and post-catheterization interventions.
Administer and manage cardiac drips effectively while ensuring patient safety and comfort.
Monitor patients for changes in condition and respond appropriately to emergent situations.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individual patient care plans.
Educate patients and their families regarding cardiac conditions, treatments, and ongoing care needs.
Utilize electronic medical records (EMR) - specifically EPIC - for documentation and patient management.
Qualifications:
Valid and active Registered Nurse (RN) license.
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications required.
Experience in cardiac care, including knowledge of cardiac drips and management of related diagnoses.
Proven ability to manage a patient ratio of 1:5 or 1:6 in a high-acuity environment.
Familiarity with EPIC EMR system is essential.
Shift Details:
