Special Education Teacher

Location: Downtown Chicago, IL 60602 ( school is on State Street)

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:00 PM

Hours: 40 hours per week

Start Date: ASAP

End Date: June 16, 2027

Compensation: $50–53+/hr on W-2, based on experience

Key Responsibilities: Provide specialized instruction and support to high school students receiving special education services. Develop and implement individualized education program (IEP) goals. Adapt instructional materials and strategies to meet diverse learning needs. Monitor student progress and maintain accurate documentation. Collaborate with general education teachers, related service providers, and school staff. Support an inclusive and positive learning environment.

Requirements: Active Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL).Learning Behavior Specialist 1 (LBS1) endorsement required. Previous school-based special education experience preferred.
