Description:
FMI's Training Institute Performance programs team is seeking an experienced Senior Learning & Development Specialist (Facilitator) to lead delivery of our experiential learning programs — the Project Manager Academy (PMA), Construction Business Academy (CBA), and Performance Trainings. This role is for a seasoned, credible facilitator who combines deep built-environment industry expertise with the ability to read the room, adapt to different client and organizational environments, and translate real construction-industry challenges into practical, high-impact learning experiences. You'll serve as a trusted partner to clients and a mentor to developing facilitators, bringing credibility, flexibility, and sound judgment to every engagement.
Project Manager Academy (PMA) is a four-day, cohort-based program that turns experienced builders into project leaders — covering customer focus, team alignment, effective planning, and the financial and process discipline that protects margin and reduces rework.
Construction Business Academy (CBA) is built around a live business simulation where current and future executives run competing construction companies, making real bidding, resourcing, financial, and risk-management decisions under pressure.
For more than 70 years, FMI has partnered with organizations across the built environment to develop exceptional leaders and build stronger, more profitable businesses. This role requires genuine industry fluency — not just familiarity — to credibly facilitate content and earn trust with construction executives and field leaders.
This is a full-time position based in either our Raleigh, NC or Denver, CO office. Travel is approximately 60–80% and varies based on home office location, since a significant share of our programs are delivered out of Raleigh and Denver. Open enrollment calendars are available on our website and can give candidates a sense of the travel cadence tied to each home office location. Travel increases in the initial months to enable deep immersion in FMI's programs, clients, and team.
**Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. on a full-time basis. FMI is unable to provide visa sponsorship at this time.
