Job Description: Production Machine Operator Montague, MI, 3rd Shift, $19.28 per hour
Job Summary:
Workbox Staffing is hiring Production Machine Operators for a great opportunity in Montague! In this role, you will operate machinery within the Converting Department while maintaining production rates, quality standards, safety procedures, and packaging requirements. This is a hands-on position for someone who is dependable, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a team environment.
What You’ll Be Doing:- Operate converting equipment, including XABM, FABM, or Kirk Rudy machines
- Accurately enter production data into the shop floor data collection system
- Complete packing and labeling requirements
- Perform machine changeovers and follow established operating procedures
- Perform preventative maintenance on machinery according to outlined procedures
- Meet or exceed quality and production standards
- Learn and operate various machines throughout the Converting Department
- Provide backup support in other areas of the department as needed
- Occasionally operate a box-maker, shrink wrapper, or multi-feeder
- Perform other duties as assigned
What We’re Looking For:- Basic math and counting skills
- Strong attention to detail and a team-oriented attitude
- General computer knowledge
- Mechanical aptitude and familiarity with standard mechanical tools such as wrenches, screwdrivers, measuring devices, and cutting tools
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
