APPLY NOWSouth Bend, United States | Posted on 09/30/2026We are working with a General Contractor delivering a major 350,000 sq. ft. data center development in the South Bend area and are looking to appoint an experienced Structural Project Manager to join the project team. This is a site-based role with responsibility for managing the structural package across a large-scale ground-up data center build. Recent data center or mission-critical construction experience is essential.
The Role:
The Structural Project Manager will take ownership of the structural scope from planning and procurement through installation, coordination and closeout.
Responsibilities will include:
- Managing the structural package across the project
- Coordinating structural steel, concrete and associated trade partners
- Reviewing drawings, specifications, RFIs, submittals and change orders
- Managing subcontractors, vendors and project documentation
- Tracking schedules, budgets and package-level progress
- Coordinating closely with civil, architectural, MEP and field teams
- Identifying design or sequencing issues and driving solutions
- Supporting procurement and long-lead material planning
- Ensuring work is delivered safely and to the required quality standards
- Managing punch list, closeout and final documentation
- Working closely with Superintendents, Project Managers, engineers and trade partners throughout delivery
What We're Looking For:
- Recent data center or mission-critical construction experience is essential
- Strong General Contractor or major construction management background
- Project management experience across structural steel, concrete and structural packages
- Strong understanding of construction sequencing and trade coordination
- Experience managing subcontractors, schedules, budgets, RFIs and submittals
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to work full-time on site in the South Bend area
