CT Tech

Piedmont Healthcare is seeking a CT Tech for weekend day shifts to perform high-quality CT imaging in a fast-paced hospital environment. Responsibilities include preparing and positioning patients, operating CT equipment, following radiation safety standards, and assisting radiologists with image review. The CT Tech will verify orders, maintain accurate documentation in the EMR, and collaborate with nurses and physicians to support patient-centered care. Candidates should demonstrate strong technical skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety, compassion, and teamwork in every patient interaction. Perform CT scans according to physician orders and departmental protocols Prepare, position, and monitor patients to ensure safety and comfort Operate and troubleshoot CT imaging equipment and related systems Apply radiation safety and ALARA standards for patients and staff Verify patient identification, histories, and exam orders in EMR Assist radiologists with image review and timely exam completion Maintain accurate documentation, logs, and quality control records Communicate clearly with patients, nurses, and providers Support weekend workflow, including prioritizing stat and emergent exams Participate in ongoing education and compliance with hospital policies CT imaging protocols Radiologic anatomy Radiation safety and ALARA CT scanner operation Patient positioning and immobilization IV contrast administration and safety Hospital EMR documentation PACS image management Infection control procedures Basic life support (BLS) Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Registered CT Technologist (ARRT RT(R)(CT) or equivalent) State radiologic technologist license (as applicable) BLS/CPR certification Experience with hospital EMR and PACS systems Knowledge of radiation safety and ALARA principles
