Inpatient Rehabilitation Nurse Supervisor

Encompass Health seeks a Nurse Supervisor to lead nursing care in our inpatient rehabilitation hospital. In this role, you will coordinate and supervise nursing staff, ensure safe, patient-centered rehab care, and support clinical best practices. You will oversee patient assessments, care planning, and interdisciplinary collaboration to promote optimal recovery outcomes. The Nurse Supervisor will mentor staff, support regulatory compliance, and contribute to quality improvement initiatives, all within a nurturing, dynamic, and rewarding environment that promotes career growth and professional development. Supervise and coordinate daily activities of nursing staff on assigned unit Provide and oversee specialized nursing care for inpatient rehab patients Conduct and review patient assessments and develop individualized care plans Collaborate with interdisciplinary rehab team to optimize patient outcomes Ensure compliance with clinical protocols, safety standards, and regulations Support and mentor nursing staff through coaching and performance feedback Participate in staffing, scheduling, and resource allocation for the unit Lead or support quality improvement and patient safety initiatives Communicate effectively with patients, families, and care team members Document care accurately in the electronic health record (EHR) Inpatient rehabilitation nursing Patient assessment and care planning Nursing staff supervision and leadership Wound care and skin integrity management Medication administration and titration Care coordination and discharge planning Electronic Health Record (EHR) documentation Infection prevention and control IV therapy and venipuncture Quality improvement and patient safety practices Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Active Registered Nurse (RN) license BLS (Basic Life Support) certification ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) preferred CRRN (Certified Rehabilitation Registered Nurse) preferred Previous charge nurse or supervisory experience preferred
