About the Role:
RODS SERVICE INC is looking for a skilled and dependable Maintenance Technician to join our team in Saint Louis, MO! This is a great opportunity to put your technical expertise to work in a hands-on role where your contributions make a real difference every day.
Pay: $18.00 - $32.00 per hour
Job Summary:
This may be one of the greatest opportunities you will ever come across. Looking for an individual who enjoys working with his hands and likes learning how to fix a whole variety of things and would really love eventually getting a company vehicle where all vehicle expenses including insurance & fuel is taken care of by the company. We literally are willing to hire anyone who can prove to us that they are a dependable, hard working individual who is self motivated and is able to follow directions and can work independently, or as a team player who doesn’t know the meaning of that’s not my job. We are looking for an individual who either has experience working on residential properties or has experience working on equipment and or vehicles, (your experience will be considered in forming your hourly wage and we will pay you based on that experience), or we are looking for an inexperienced individual that we would call a good backyard mechanic who has a knack for fixing things and is capable and willing to learn, where we will increase your wage as your experience increases. This is a true life example of a relatively recent hiring. We hired an individual who was making $25 thousand annually working for one of the major hardware chains. Within a 5 year period he is making $80 thousand a year working 9-10 hour days and some Saturdays. In his 3rd year this individual was given a company vehicle where the vehicle: maintenance costs, insurance & fuel expenses are covered by the company. If you hit all the marks and were truly an intelligent individual with the capacity to learn with training & a humble team player this really could be you as well. Requirements:- Be able to complete your shift without vaping or smoking
- Have a clean driving record
- Have a very dependable form of transportation
- Be able to get to work on time
- Be able to work a 9-10 hour day consistently
- Have some form of mechanical ability whether self taught or by past jobs
- Have basic hand tools and in time have the correct required tools and be willing to buy the required tools as your pay advances
- Have experience in the use of a Multimeter or the willingness & ability to learn how to use
- The ability to get along with others superiors, co workers, customers.
- Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail and the ability to work independently.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively in English.
Responsibilities:- You would work on Properties we manage, Construction Equipment and Maintain our Vehicles.
- On the property management side Job Duties Include
- Prep units as tenants move out: Remove Debris, Repair Damage, Meticulously clean: Bathrooms, floors, windows, counter tops, cabinets, appliances etc.
- Troubleshoot Service & Repair Electrical IssuesLay interlocking flooring
- Install baseboards
- CaulkTroubleshoot Service & Repair Plumbing issues
- Repair minor siding & trim issues
- Install blinds
- Troubleshoot Service & Repair Appliances
- Perform needed repairs on outside decks
- Repair wall damage, Install drywall & tape & sand to a finish coat appearance
- Paint including cut in & roll
- Prep units for incoming tenants, Yard Work: tree pruning, mowing, trim bushes, minor landscaping, On the Construction Equipment Side, Job Duties would include.
- Prepare Rental Equipment for outgoing orders
- Upon return test the rental equipment & make any needed repairs before putting away
- Troubleshoot equipment brought to us for repair. Properly diagnose issues & fix.
- Deliver specialized equipment to jobsites and instruct customer how to properly use said equipment.
- Work on company owned vehicles.
- After proper training go out on field jobs and repair equipment and or diagnose improper settings or usage & instruct customer on proper settings and usage.
- Go to manufacturer’s 3 day training seminars at the companies expense including your daily pay.
Job Type: Full-time
