Transit Operator Town of Jackson, START Bus is accepting applications for a full-time, year-round, Transit Operator for the Town's Paratransit service in Jackson. Hiring range $62,400 or $30/hr - $66,560 or $32/hr DOQ.The ideal candidate will be professional, friendly, and helpful. Primary duties include transporting the most vulnerable members of our population to and from residences and appointments, making a difference in their lives and providing essential freedom and mobility. Must be physically able to assist passengers with boarding and de-boarding, including the safe pushing, pulling, and securement of wheelchairs, scooters, and other mobility devices in compliance with ADA regulations. Backup duties involve driving other fixed routes, or commuter service to Teton Valley or Star Valley occasionally. Schedule is currently 4/10 hour days with specific days determined by the Transit Operations Manager. Depending on seniority, regular workdays may include weekend work. Depending on the pre-scheduled appointments needed by customers, occasional early morning or late evening work may also be included. Any combination of education and experience providing the required skill and knowledge for successful performance is qualifying. Typical qualifications would be equivalent to: High School graduation or equivalent, a Wyoming Class B Commercial Drivers License (CDL), Passenger (P) endorsement, and experience driving passenger buses.
