Junior Property Underwriter

Work Arrangement: On-site, 5 days per week

About the Role: An established insurance carrier is expanding its Middle Market team and is seeking an experienced Senior Property Underwriter in Houston. This position offers the opportunity to apply technical underwriting expertise, evaluate commercial property risks and build productive relationships with retail brokers.

Key Responsibilities: Underwrite and manage Middle Market commercial property accounts. Evaluate risk quality, exposure, pricing and coverage terms. Build and maintain strong retail broker relationships to develop new business. Negotiate terms and conditions while ensuring sound underwriting decisions. Requirements~4+ years of commercial property underwriting experience.~ Knowledge of Middle Market property risks and underwriting principles.~ Experience managing broker relationships and negotiating placements.
