Position Overview:
We are seeking dedicated and skilled nursing professionals to join our Inpatient Rehabilitation Unit (IPR) located in Fort Worth, TX. This unit cares for patients in need of comprehensive rehabilitation services. Shift Details
Shift: 7 PM - 7 AM
Assignment Length: 13 weeks
Workdays: Weekend Rotating
Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week Unit Highlights Number of Beds: 18 Patient Ratios: 5-6:1Unit Staffing: RNs & PCTsDocumentation System: Meditech
Qualifications: Candidates must possess the following skills and qualifications:
- Willingness to learn specialty patient mobilization skills.
- Ability to learn and complete rehabilitation-specific documentation (training provided).Good attention to detail and receptiveness to coaching.
- Preferred Experience
- Ideal candidates will have:
- Experience with patients in neurological, cardiac, and/or orthopedic adult populations.
- Prior inpatient (acute) rehabilitation experience.
- Experience in long-term acute care (LTACH) nursing.
Certifications:
Current BLS certification is required.
Procedures Performed on Unit
Responsibilities may include:
- Indwelling and straight urinary catheterization
- Peripheral IV insertions, blood administration
- Central line dressing changes
- Wound dressing changes as ordered
- Surgical drain removal, suture/staple removal
- Other medical-surgical nursing procedures as required
- Patient Experience
We prefer candidates with two or more years of hospital experience in medical-surgical, step-down critical care, or inpatient rehabilitation nursing. Experience in neurological, cardiac, and/or orthopedic nursing is a plus.
Dress CodeWe maintain a professional appearance on the unit:
Scrub Color for RNs: Royal Blue tops and pants (in good condition, no fading or logos from other facilities).Nail Policy: Clean and healthy; no artificial nails or gel nails.
Hair: Neat and clean; no extreme styles or colors.
Tattoos: Must be covered whenever possible.
Piercings: Visible piercings other than ears are not permitted.
PPE:
Comply with facility-issued personal protective equipment, including N95s and face shields.
Unit and Attendance Policies:
Floating Guidelines: Nurses may float to medical-surgical units as needed.
Attendance Policies: Standard attendance policy applies.
