RN - Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU)

Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend Holiday Requirement: Yes Unit InformationUnit: CVICU Number of Beds: 82 critical care beds (48 ICU, 34 PCU) Patient Ratios:

ICU: 1:1 or 1:2

PCU: 1:3Floating: Float only within critical care units, primarily CVICU with the possibility of floating to ICU/PCU

Key Responsibilities: Provide comprehensive care to patients in the CVICU, including monitoring vital signs and administering medications. Participate in critical care team meetings and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams. Assess and document patient conditions and changes in health status. Administer intravenous therapies, manage ventilators, and utilize various drips as required. Support patient families through education and emotional support. QualificationsExperience: Minimum of 2 years in critical care or cardiac care.

Required Certifications: ACLS and BLS certification.

Special Skills: Must have open heart experience. Operational SupportEMR System: EPIC
