Burn ICU Float Pool Registered Nurse

Doctors Hospital of Augusta seeks a Burn ICU Float Pool RN to provide high-acuity care to burn and critical care patients across designated units. The RN will perform comprehensive assessments, manage ventilators and complex drips, provide specialized burn and wound care, and respond rapidly to changes in patient condition. Responsibilities include collaborating with an interdisciplinary team, educating patients and families, adhering to strict safety and infection-control standards, and documenting care accurately in the EMR. Provide high-acuity nursing care to burn and ICU patients in designated float pool units Perform comprehensive assessments and continuous monitoring of critically ill patients Manage ventilators, vasoactive drips, and other advanced therapies per protocols Deliver specialized burn care, including wound assessment, dressing changes, and pain management Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and interdisciplinary team members Educate patients and families on treatment plans, recovery, and discharge instructions Maintain accurate, timely EMR documentation and follow hospital policies Adhere to strict infection control, safety, and quality standards Respond to emergencies and rapid changes in patient condition Critical care nursing Burn care management Ventilator management Hemodynamic monitoring Medication administration (IV/infusion drips) Wound and dressing management Patient assessment and triage Electronic Medical Record (EMR) documentation ACLS protocols Infection control and safety procedures Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Active Georgia RN license or compact RN license Basic Life Support (BLS) certification Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification Critical Care Registered Nurse (CCRN) preferred Burn nursing experience or certification (e.g., ABLS) preferred
