Senior Quality Test Technician

Required Education, Experience & Skills: Associate degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related discipline.5+ years of experience in a combination of controls, firmware, peripherals, embedded systems and software testing.1+ year experience as a senior or lead tester for controls, firmware, embedded, peripherals or software teams or testers. Knowledge of electronics is required along with understanding of electrical safety agency requirements. Strong experience with test planning, forecasting test cycles, creating test cases, execution and testing projects with a proven track record of meeting deadlines. Experience with defect tracking, results documentation and cross-functional collaboration. Strong organizational skills, attention to details, reporting, problem-solving ability, respond to changing assignments and tasks with minimal supervisory oversight. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Understand testing types, methodologies including waterfall, agile development and have a basic understanding of CMMI.Familiarity with Automation Testing. Preferred Education, Experience & Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and a programming language. Controls systems, Refrigeration and/ or HVAC will be a strong plus. Experience with Testing tools, JIRA, GitHub, and Automation.
