Position Overview:
We are seeking a dependable Machine Shop Helper to support daily operations within a clean, climate-controlled manufacturing environment. This role is ideal for individuals with mechanical aptitude, machine operation experience, and a strong work ethic who are looking to grow within a stable and team-oriented company.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with setup and operation of various shop machines
- Support machinists and production team with daily tasks
- Perform basic assembly of mechanical components and valve-related parts
- Handle material movement and staging of parts for production
- Use hand tools and measuring instruments as needed
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Follow all safety procedures and quality standards
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a machine shop or manufacturing environment preferred
- Basic machine operation and mechanical knowledge
- Assembly experience required
- Ability to read a tape measure and use basic measuring tools
- Strong attention to detail and reliability
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
