Environmental Field Scientist

Primary Responsibilities: The selected candidate would be responsible for: Oversight of waste loading and waste transportation activities. Tracking, organizing, and managing waste manifests and associated documentation. Reviewing waste profiles, analytical data, transporter certifications, and disposal facility approvals for regulatory compliance. Conducting routine site compliance inspections and identifying corrective actions where necessary. Working independently in a field-based environment while coordinating with contractors and project stakeholders. Supporting additional environmental field and office activities, including sampling programs, environmental monitoring, remediation oversight, data management, and technical reporting.

Required Skills: Candidate should possess a B.S. degree in Geology or Environmental Science (or equivalent).This is a field position with approximately 90-100% of time spent on active project sites. Candidate must be familiar with federal, state, and local regulatory regulations. Candidate must pass a physical examination and drug testing as a condition of employment for this position. Candidate must have excellent communication skills. Possessing up to date OSHA HAZWOPER training (29 CFR 1910) is a plus. Experience working with NJDEP, NYSDEC and NYCDEP is helpful.
