Vice President of Media (GoldSilver + Wealthion) (New York)

The Opportunity: GoldSilver (874K YouTube subscribers) and Wealthion (354K subscribers) are two distinct businesses & financial media brands under one parent company (Gold Bullion International) —GoldSilver focused on precious metals and sound money, Wealthion on wealth protection & allocation. Together, the two channels currently publish roughly 10 long-form videos and 40+ short-form clips every week and their media extends beyond video into podcast, web, and occasional print. We're hiring the first VP of Media to own content strategy, editorial judgment, and production quality across both brands. You'll inherit a lean, already-productive team—two producers, editor, and on-camera hosts—and be expected to find and close the gaps in it, not just keep the trains running. Reporting directly to the Head of D2C, you act as the editorial balance to commercial strategy— ensuring our content maintains independent credibility while aligning with broader business goals. Ultimately, this role exists to grow the business, not just the audience. Subscriber counts and view counts are inputs, not the goal—the mandate is media that builds durable trust in both brands and measurably moves the numbers behind them: audience growth that converts, and a stronger case for the businesses every quarter. This is a build role wrapped in a run role. The production calendar doesn't stop while you ramp up, and the calls on where to add capacity, what to centralize across brands, and what to keep separate are yours to make, defend, and revisit as the business changes. What You'll OwnContent Strategy, Packaging & Production Set editorial & content strategy and production standards for both brands—distinct enough to protect each one's voice, consistent enough to justify sharing infrastructure where it helps. Own data-driven topic planning: use performance analytics, search/trend data, and the macro calendar (FOMC, CPI, gold price moves) to decide what gets covered next, rather than reacting to news as it breaks. Define and evolve a small number of recurring franchises per that build appointment viewing — the goal is habitual viewers, not a feed of one-off uploads. Recognize when a franchise has outgrown video — deciding when IP is big enough to extend into other formats (books, courses, live events) Decide format questions with real evidence behind them: long-form vs. shorts mix, whether either brand should return to live programming, how production work is batched, and own cross-platform extension strategy: which content gets repurposed to Shorts/Reels, podcast audio, or others Own packaging strategy (Title/Thumbnail CTR optimization, retention curve analysis, hook design) for content to maximize organic reach without resorting to misleading clickbait. Own the line between financial education and financial advice across both brands' content, working with legal/compliance where needed, and review or spot-check scripts, thumbnails, and claims as the last line of editorial judgment Own the production calendar across ~10 long-form videos and 40+ shorts a week, in partnership with both Producers, and the talent and guest bench strategy Track the content competitive landscape in precious-metals and macro-investing content and adapt format/topic choices accordingly, rather than operating in a vacuum. Marketing & Product Partnership Treat content as the top of a funnel Marketing & Product own the rest of—you're accountable for making sure what you produce actually feeds that funnel, not just performs well on its own. Sync the content calendar with Marketing's campaign calendar, so paid pushes, launches, and seasonal moments are planned together and keep Marketing supplied with a steady pipeline of repurposable content—clips, quotes, data points—for email, paid social, and other owned channels Partner closely to ensure content strategy is actually shaped by what turns viewers into customers or leads—not just by what gets views. Partner to build the attribution measurement (UTMs, tracking, dashboarding) needed to actually calculate the KPIsTeam Leadership & Operations Directly manage the Wealthion Producer, GoldSilver Producer, hosts, and the shared Editing function Manage relationships, workflows, and talent evolution for primary hosts across both channels Own a team budget in the seven figures spanning headcount, contractor, and outsourced production spend. Build a real, evidence-based view of where production capacity is going versus where output actually demands it—and act on the gap rather than staff to the org chart you inherited. How This Role is Measured (indicative) Attributed Business Value (Primary): For GoldSilver — leads and vault storage volume influenced by media touchpoints. For Wealthion — website visits and qualified leads. Tracked jointly with other teams. YouTube Engine Metrics (Secondary): Average View Duration, CTR on non-subscriber feeds, and 30-second retention stability alongside broader channel growth (subscribers, views, watch time).Compliance & Factual Integrity with no regulatory breaches, forced retractions, and major post-publish compliance rewrites. Guest rosters hold up to strict editorial scrutiny. Production Unit Economics: Cost-per-video efficiency, output velocity, and a production organization that's sized accurately to real output (capacity gaps closed rather than worked around).Budget Precision: Seven-figure budget with complete visibility into ROI per content initiative.
