About the Company:
Our client is a growing clinical-trial technology and patient-recruitment company seeking a commercially driven Sales & Account Manager who can both win new business and continue owning the customer relationship after the sale. This is not a traditional “close and hand off” sales role. The right person will prospect, close, manage, retain, and expand their own book of business. The ideal candidate comes from the clinical-trial vendor or technology startup ecosystem, understands research sites, and thrives in an entrepreneurial environment where success is tied directly to production.
About the Role:
The Sales & Account Manager will generate new business, build and manage client relationships, develop customized solutions, and own the commercial relationship after closing, with a focus on retaining and expanding recurring revenue while continuously building new pipeline.
Responsibilities:
Generate new business through outbound prospecting, referrals, industry relationships, conferences, inbound opportunities, and dormant-account reactivation.
Build relationships with research sites and other clinical-research organizations.
Develop customized patient-recruitment, advertising, or related technology solutions based on client needs.
Own the commercial relationship after closing, including campaign performance, client expectations, site workflow, and operational issues.
Proactively identify opportunities to expand accounts through new studies, additional locations, larger budgets, and added services.
Retain and grow recurring revenue while continuously building new pipeline.
Required Skills:
Proven ability to personally prospect, win new logos, generate revenue, and expand accounts.
Experience building a territory or book of business rather than simply inheriting one.
Strong account-management skills with a proactive, relationship-driven approach.
Experience working in a startup, smaller technology company, clinical-trial vendor, or other entrepreneurial growth environment.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to build trust with research-site leadership.
Highly self-directed, organized, financially motivated, and comfortable operating without significant SDR or corporate infrastructure.
