The Construction Laborer performs a variety of physical tasks to support construction projects from groundbreaking through completion. This role requires stamina, attention to safety, and the ability to work effectively as part of a crew on commercial job sites.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and clean job sites by removing debris, hazardous materials, and obstructions
Load, unload, and transport construction materials, tools, and equipment
Assist skilled tradespeople including carpenters, electricians, and plumbers
Erect and dismantle scaffolding, shoring, braces, and temporary structures
Operate hand tools and basic power tools (shovels, jackhammers, drills, etc.)
Mix, pour, and spread concrete, asphalt, or other materials
Follow all OSHA safety standards and company safety protocols
Maintain tools and equipment in clean, working condition
Perform other duties as assigned by the foreman or site supervisor
Skills & Abilities:
Ability to lift up to 75 lbs repeatedly and perform strenuous physical labor
Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions
Basic understanding of construction site safety practices
Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
Reliable, punctual, and strong work ethic
Ability to work well on a team
Physical Requirements:
Standing, walking, bending, and kneeling for extended periods
Working at heights (ladders, scaffolding)
Exposure to dust, noise, and outdoor elements
