Job Description:
We are seeking a reliable, detail-oriented Warehouse Wire Cutter / Order Puller to join a fast-paced distribution team! The ideal candidate will have strong mathematical skills, mechanical aptitude, and the ability to follow detailed instructions. This position primarily involves measuring, cutting, and spooling electrical wire using specialized machinery. Accuracy is extremely important! Wire is a high-value product, and incorrect cuts cannot be reversed. We are looking for someone who takes pride in their work, pays close attention to detail, and can work independently after training.
Key Responsibilities:
Measure, calculate, cut, and spool various sizes of electrical wire.
Learn to safely operate specialized wire-cutting equipment.
Read and interpret customer orders, work orders, and shipping instructions.
Accurately track wire footage and update inventory tags.
Monitor inventory levels and report shortages.
Pull, pick, and prepare customer orders for shipment.
Organize and stock warehouse materials in designated locations.
Assist with receiving, stocking, and material handling.
Perform inventory cycle counts and verify stock quantities.
Operate forklifts safely as required.
Assist with general warehouse duties when wire-cutting demand is low.
Potential opportunity to serve as a backup delivery driver after permanent placement, subject to applicable qualifications and ODOT requirements.
Qualifications:
Previous warehouse, distribution, electrical supply, or utility experience preferred.
Wire-cutting experience is a plus but not required — training provided!
Strong basic math and measurement skills.
Ability to follow detailed instructions with accuracy.
Comfortable operating machinery and learning new equipment.
Ability to work independently after training.
Forklift certification required.
High school diploma/GED, six months of related experience or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Dependable attendance and strong work ethic.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to occasionally lift and pull materials weighing up to 50 lbs.
Comfortable working in a warehouse environment.
Ability to perform physical duties associated with material handling.
