Industrial Blaster Job Summary
Pay:
$15 Shifts Available: This position is only 1-2 days per week, must be available to work Friday Evenings, Saturday and Sunday. Shifts and Days will vary according to production schedule. Operate industrial blasting equipment to clean and prepare metal surfaces. Load, unload, and position materials for blasting operations. Inspect parts before and after blasting to ensure quality standards are met. Remove rust, mill scale, paint, dirt, and other surface contaminants. Monitor blasting equipment and report any maintenance concerns. Maintain proper blast media levels and assist with media recovery processes. Follow production schedules and meet established deadlines. Perform routine housekeeping and maintain a clean work area. Utilize overhead cranes, forklifts, and material handling equipment as needed (if certified).Comply with all company safety policies, OSHA regulations, and PPE requirements. Assist other departments as needed to support production goals.
Qualifications:- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Previous industrial blasting, sandblasting, paint preparation, or manufacturing experience preferred.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Ability to read and follow work instructions and safety procedures.
- Forklift and overhead crane experience is a plus.
- Must be reliable and able to work every weekend as scheduled.
