Senior Technical DesignerNYC Alliance seeks a highly skilled Senior Technical Designer with extensive experience in contemporary and premium apparel to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will bring a deep understanding of fit, construction, and technical specifications across multiple categories, along with the ability to communicate clearly with factories, cross-functional partners, and retail partners. Responsibilities:- Develop technical packages for fit sample development in all categories
- Evaluate fit samples, pre-production and TOP samples for specs, quality and workmanship
- Participate in maintaining consistency of product fit, technical specifications and development processes across brands
- Conduct fittings with designers and internal teams on live models and body forms
- Write fit comments to factories based on fittings, providing clear technical comments and illustrations/photos
- Maintain a product library for future reference
- Correspond with factories and cross-functional partners on a daily basis to solve problems and ensure product integrity
- Work with the Production department on follow-up and timing of approval comments to meet delivery expectations
- Act as a liaison between Design, Sales, Production, and Factory to ensure samples are made to correct specifications
- Plan appropriate fit schedules with models and designers
- Update and maintain department fit logs
