The leave coverage will be from approximately November 9, 2026 to February 9, 2027.
Qualifications:
- Completion of a bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited college or university.
- Current valid Illinois professional educator license with appropriate endorsement.
- ELL/ESL endorsement is preferred.
- Experience as a middle school teacher is preferred.
- District Information:
- District 62 has approximately 4,800 students in grades preK-8 in 8 elementary schools, 2 middle schools, 1 early learning center, and 1 year-round, K-8 school.
Compensation Information:
District 62 substitute teachers earn $165 per day if they hold an Illinois professional educator license and $155 per day if they hold a substitute license. Annual bonuses are given based on the number of days worked. This position does not include benefits.
