Job TitleDutiesYou will assist riggers and crane operators in weight handling operations using overhead cranes, forklift trucks, and railcar movers. You will select and install weight-handling gear such as nylon and wire rope slings, shackles, hooks, and chains. You will perform the duties of a railroad brake operator/switcher to support railroad operations. You will operate forklifts to support crane operations and select and move material. You will assist warehousemen in the receipt, storage, and issue of Major Equipment and Components, including identification, packaging/unpackaging, and inspecting material. You will use a variety of hand and power tools to load, unload, pack, unpack and other various duties.
