Sterile Processing TechDay shift, 5x8 hours (08:00 - 16:30). Every other weekend required. Contract length and guaranteed hours to be discussed upon application.
Requirements: Minimum experience of 3 years in a sterile processing department.
Certifications:
CBSPD and IAHCSMM/HSPA preferred.
Experience with flexible cystoscopes and SPD sterilization equipment including Steris steam sterilizers, Stryker VP4 machines, and sterilization/decontamination equipment.
Must be able to serve as a preceptor for peers and new employees.
Bioburden error rate of 0.1% or less expected monthly; tray average of 20 per day.
Experience in a busy surgical environment with a variety of specialties including General, GYN, Cardiovascular, and Orthopedics.
Responsibilities:
Prepare and process surgical instruments and trays for procedures.
Ensure proper sterilization and maintenance of sterilization equipment.
Conduct quality checks and maintain compliance with safety standards.
Assist in training and orienting new staff members.
