Saw Filer

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Recognize unsafe conditions Responsible for inspecting, sharpening, and assist in replacing saws and knives. Safely filing and maintaining band saws, circle saws, chipper knives and saw guides. Performing machine alignment, maintain saw filing equipment, and preventive maintenance procedures. Troubleshoot knife, circle saws, band saws, and guide problems. Must be able to operate and understand precision measuring and grinding equipment. Ability to communicate effectively Ability to adhere to all safety and environmental guidelines, policies and procedures. ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS The Saw Filer reports to the Saw Shop Supervisor.
