Molecular Genetics Technologist I-III (DNA Extraction)

Location: Houston, TX (Onsite) Duration: 6+ months Conducts high complexity molecular tests in the treatment and diagnosis of genetic diseases.

Duties and Responsibilities: Performs testing and troubleshoots assay performance Operates and maintains the laboratory equipment Performs QC and takes appropriate actions if systems deviate from the laboratory's established specification Performs other duties as required

Qualifications/Experience/Certification: Molecular Genetics Technologist I

Degree: Bachelor's degree in a scientific discipline or medical technology

Relevant experience: 0-2 years Certification (preferred): MB(ASCP) or MT(ASCP) Molecular Genetics Technologist II

Degree: Bachelor's degree in a scientific discipline or medical technology

Relevant experience: 2-4 years Certification (required): MB(ASCP) or MT(ASCP) OR

Degree: Master's degree in a scientific discipline or medical technology

Relevant experience: 0-2 years Certification (required): MB(ASCP) or MT(ASCP) Genetics Technologist III

Degree: Bachelor's degree in a scientific discipline or medical technology

Relevant experience: 4-6 years Certification (required): MB(ASCP) or MT(ASCP) OR

Degree: Master's degree in a scientific discipline or medical technology

Relevant experience: 2-4 years Certification (required): MB(ASCP) or MT(ASCP) OR

Degree: PhD in a scientific discipline or medical technology

Relevant experience: 0-2 years Certification (required): MB(ASCP) or MT(ASCP) Molecular Genetics Technologist Senior

Degree: Bachelor's degree in a scientific discipline or medical technology

Relevant experience: > 6 years Certification (required): MB(ASCP) or MT(ASCP) OR

Degree: Master's degree in a scientific discipline or medical technology

Relevant experience: > 4 years Certification (required): MB(ASCP) or MT(ASCP) OR

Degree: PhD in a scientific discipline or medical technology

Relevant experience: > 2 years Certification (required): MB(ASCP) or MT(ASCP)
