Are you a relationship-driven sales professional who enjoys opening doors, creating opportunities, and driving business growth? Smithville Communications is seeking a Business Development Representative to expand our business customer base across Southern Indiana through prospecting, networking, strategic partnerships, and community engagement. For a telecom company like Smithville, an ideal business development role often balances three areas:
Vertical specialization (state, local, education (SLED), healthcare, manufacturing)
Strategic partnerships (managed services providers, developers, consultants)
Market expansion (new logos, multi-dwelling units, wholesale, and enterprise growth)
If you thrive in a consultative sales environment and enjoy turning opportunities into long-term customer relationships, we'd like to hear from you. Scroll down the page to see all associated job requirements, and any responsibilities successful candidates can expect.
