Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM
Experience:
- 2 years of experience with 3 months within the last 12 months.
- 2 years of Medical Surgical - Orthopedic Unit experience with 12 months within the last 36 months (3 years).
- Experience with Epic is preferred.
Requirements:
- Candidates must have a Kentucky license or compact license (required for submission).
- This role may require floating to additional units and locations
- Local & travel allowed.
- Flu vaccination required after submission. Religious, medical, and personal declinations accepted.
- Anyone who worked as Staff at any facility in this health system in the last 12 months cannot be submitted.
- Anyone who worked as Part-Time at any facility in this health system in the last 12 months cannot be submitted.
- Anyone who worked as Per Diem at any facility in this health system in the last 12 months cannot be submitted.
- Staff, Part-Time, and Per Diem employees currently working at this health system cannot be submitted. Pre-employment modules may be required for this role. Please upload any certifications or health documents you have to your profile to expedite your on-boarding process.

Submission Limit: Cannot apply to more than one job order on the same unit and shift at the facility.
Eligibility as Current/Previous Employee: Must disclose previous employment on your resume or elsewhere within the submission for a DNU check.
Preferred Skills/Experience:
Neuro experience is a plus.
Unit Details:
- Common diagnoses and patient types include elective joint replacements, spine/neuro surgery, and fractures.
- The unit is fast-paced with high daily patient turnover.
- Heparin is the most likely drip encountered on the unit.
- Respiratory equipment is used at low volume on this floor; nurses only troubleshoot it.
- Centralized monitoring is used; nurses must identify rhythms and respond appropriately to telemetry alerts.
- Shift & Scheduling:
- Self-scheduling is allowed, but staffing retains the right to move any shifts before they are finalized to suit the needs of the department.
- Weekend requirement: Every other weekend or 6 weekend shifts in a 6-week schedule.
- Holiday requirement: 2 summer holidays and 3 winter holidays. Winter holidays would be Thanksgiving Day, the day after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, and New Year's Day.
- No call.
Floating Requirements:
- Expected to float to other Med-Surg/Tele areas as needed.
- Facility holidays: 11/26/2026, 12/25/2026, 01/01/2027. Number of holidays allowed off: 1. Start assignment restriction: 14 days2 Charge/Lead/Supervisor references required from within the last 12 months
