Our client is ready to hire a Structural Engineer to join their team! The ideal candidate is a self-motivated individual who can manage a project with oversight from proposal phase to construction administration within Commercial Design. This position is based in Charlotte, NC, requiring the person to be onsite 1 day/week for meetings.
Responsibilities:
Prepare design calculations, drawings, specifications, design analysis and construction cost estimatesPerform construction related services including shop drawing reviews, response to requests for information, periodic construction site observation, and occasional specialized structural inspectionsCollaborate with architects and designers and building contractors on design and construction of projectsPrepare detailed AutoCAD or Revit drawings from field notesPrepare reportsQualificationsBachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Civil or Structural EngineeringExcellent written and verbal communication skillsPE license would be a bonusMicrosoft Office suite 2 years using drawing softwareExperience with timber framing, roof systems and helical piersMust have 3+ Structural Engineering industry experience, prefer commercial/industrialAutoCAD or RevitMust live within 2 hours of Charlotte, NC to attend a weekly meeting
