Machine Operator – 1st Shift
Pay:
$20.50 per hour Shift: 1st Shift, 7:00 AM–3:30 PMWe are looking for a dependable Machine Operator to join a production team in a clean, climate-controlled manufacturing facility. This position is responsible for operating production equipment to build and package small kits according to order specifications. The ideal candidate has good hand-eye coordination, basic math and counting skills, and strong attention to detail. Previous manufacturing or machine operation experience is preferred, but candidates who are dependable and willing to learn are encouraged to apply.
Responsibilities:- Operate production equipment safely and efficiently
- Read production orders and verify part numbers, quantities, quality requirements, and packaging
- Pull and organize staged parts needed for production
- Follow setup sheets and inspection boards to prepare equipment for production runs
- Verify first-piece production for quality
- Perform routine quality checks throughout the production run
- Monitor equipment and production to ensure parts meet specifications
- Complete required production and quality documentation
- Make minor equipment adjustments as trained and needed
- Identify and report equipment, production, or quality problems
- Prevent nonconforming products from continuing through the production process
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area
- Follow established safety, quality, and production procedures
- Perform other production duties as assigned
Qualifications:- Previous manufacturing or machine operation experience preferred
- Good hand-eye coordination
- Basic math and counting skills
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Good communication skills
- Ability to read and follow written and verbal work instructions
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Willingness and ability to learn production equipment and processes
- Dependable attendance and punctuality
- Strong commitment to safety and quality
Physical Requirements:- Ability to stand and walk for the duration of the shift
- Frequent reaching, grasping, and repetitive hand movements
- Ability to perform repetitive production tasks
- Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs. using proper lifting techniques
- Ability to safely work around manufacturing machinery and equipment
- Comfortable working in a clean, climate-controlled manufacturing environment
