We need laborers who are reliable, enthusiastic, willing to learn and take direction. Requirements are as follows: a willingness to learn and develop skills at residential job sites; ability to work on locations in California; a clean driver license and DMV record; available for overtime hours.
Job Purpose:
Supports operations by continually learning new techniques of repairing and maintaining residential log homes. Including, but not limited to; maintaining supplies and materials, performing steps in work processes while on site, and traveling to scenic and sometimes remote locations for several days. When not on assignment, duties may include organizing and maintaining good order in our construction yard. They must know how to operate forklifts and telescopic handlers (e.g. Gradall). Should be familiar with construction tools, parts, and equipment.
Position Summary
Education:
High School or experience providing skills suitable for this position. Must maintain and demonstrate a working knowledge of construction type tools. May be required to lift up to 100 pounds. Frequent twisting, turning, and bending. Some experience in the construction industry Travel is required. Transportation to and from the job site is provided. Employee is required to have own transportation from designated meeting spot. Ability to communicate effectively with team members. Knowledge of basic tools and their uses. Understand and apply basic mathematical skills (adding, subtracting, division, & multiplication).Knowledge of basic measurements and how to read a tape measure. Good attendance and positive attitude a must.
Duties:- Organizes work by checking work schedule.
- Prepares work site by obtaining and delivering equipment, tools, supplies, and materials.
- Following safety rules and procedures, wearing personal protective equipment.
- Loading items on trucks or trailers; moving items to site; unloading items.
- Returns items to storage inventory by loading, moving, and unloading items.
- Supports work processes by inspecting, preparing, sorting, weighing, measuring, cutting, adding
Physical Requirements:- Must be able to work in extreme weather conditions for extended periods of time.
- Must be able to tolerate physically strenuous activity for extended periods of time.
- Required physical examination and drug screen.
- Lifting may be required with assistance provided if needed.
- Lifting, Planning, Inventory Control, Basic Math Skills, Equipment Maintenance, Power Tools, Fabrication, Building Experience.
- Compensation is commensurate with experience.
