A career where people, style, and purpose come together. If you like working with people, having a creative eye, solving problems, and helping someone walk out feeling great, you might really like being an Optician at Midwest Eye Consultants. This isn't a job where you're sitting behind a desk all day. You'll work directly with patients, help them find eyewear that fits their vision, lifestyle, personality, and budget, and become someone they trust for their eyewear needs.
What Your Day Looks Like:
You'll be part eyewear stylist, part problem-solver, and part patient advocate.
You'll help patients:
- Find frames that look and feel like them
- Understand their prescription and the lens options recommended by their doctor
- Choose the right combination of frames and lenses for their lifestyle
- Get comfortable with their new eyewear and know how to take care of itTroubleshoot concerns and make adjustments or repairs when needed
Behind the scenes, you'll also keep things moving by handling insurance eligibility and co-pays, placing and tracking optical orders, working with the lab, maintaining inventory, and keeping the optical area looking great.
You'll build relationships with patients along the way—not just complete transactions. The goal is for patients to leave feeling confident in both their eyewear and the person who helped them choose it.
