This position will design electrical wiring harnesses, schematics, wiring diagrams, control panel layouts, and manufacturing documentation for industrial engines and equipment. The Electrical CAD Designer will work closely with engineering, production, suppliers, and customers to develop reliable, manufacturable designs that meet project requirements. Responsibilities: Design and develop electrical wiring harnesses, schematics, wiring diagrams, and control panel layouts using CAD softwareCreate harness assembly drawings, wire lists, BOMs, connector details, termination specifications, and manufacturing documentationMaintain engineering drawings, revisions, component libraries, and change documentationCollaborate with engineering, production, suppliers, and customers to ensure designs meet project and manufacturing requirementsSupport prototypes, testing, troubleshooting, product validation, and continuous improvement initiatives Qualifications and Requirements: Associate degree or higher in Electrical Engineering Technology, CAD Technology, Engineering, or a related technical fieldMinimum 2 years of CAD design experience in an electrical, controls, or manufacturing environmentProficiency with AutoCAD Electrical, SolidWorks Electrical, EPLAN, Altium, KiCad, or similar CAD/design softwareAbility to read and interpret electrical schematics and wiring diagramsStrong understanding of electrical components including relays, sensors, switches, connectors, terminals, circuit protection devices, and control systemsStrong organizational skills, attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and proficiency with Microsoft OfficeExperience with engine wiring harnesses, CAN Bus systems, electronic engine controls, UL 508A control panels, or electrical manufacturing is preferred Benefits and Perks: Competitive Pay: $26 per hour and upMedical, dental, and vision insurance 401KDirect deposit or pay cardReferral bonus programProfessional training and career growth opportunitiesOpportunity to work on custom electrical, engine control, and industrial automation projects Your New Organization: Controls Inc. specializes in the design and manufacture of custom engine control systems, electrical panels, and wiring harness solutions for power generation, industrial equipment, mobile machinery, and other specialized applications.
