We believe there's more to life than money. Our job is to help people use their wealth to create a life filled with purpose, freedom, generosity, and meaningful experiences. Through the Retirement Answers YouTube channel and podcast, we help people across the country who are trying to retire successfully. We're building something different: a modern, technology-driven wealth management firm that combines exceptional financial advice with world-class education and client experience. And we're looking for someone to help us build the marketing engine that supports that vision.
About the Role:
- We're hiring a Content & Marketing Coordinator to take ownership of the systems, campaigns, and processes that turn our educational content into meaningful relationships with prospective clients.
- This isn't simply a social media management position. And we're not looking for someone whose only responsibility is posting content or designing graphics.
- We're looking for someone who loves figuring out how things work, connecting systems, improving processes, and finding creative ways to turn attention into action.
- Our founder, Jacob Duke, will continue leading content creation and developing the ideas behind our educational content.
- Your responsibility is to build and run everything that makes the content successful.
- When someone watches a video, downloads a resource, subscribes to our newsletter, attends a webinar, or expresses interest in working with us, we want to make sure their experience with us is thoughtful, intentional, and effective.
- You'll be responsible for making that happen.
- What You Will Do1) Marketing Automation & Lead Management
- Build and manage the systems that connect our marketing activities and help us develop relationships with prospective clients.
- Create and optimize automated email sequences for subscribers, prospects, and prospective clients.
- Build different follow-up experiences based on where someone is in their relationship with Rivertree.
- Develop lead nurturing campaigns for people who are interested in retirement planning but aren't ready to hire an advisor.
- Create follow-up systems for prospects who have previously reached out but haven't become clients.
- Monitor lead activity to identify people who are becoming more engaged with our content.
- Maintain accurate contact records, segmentation, tagging, and lead status within our CRM and marketing platforms.
- Make sure qualified opportunities don't fall through the cracks.
- Improve the handoff between marketing, prospective clients, and our advisory team.2) Marketing Analytics & Performance Tracking
- Help us understand what's working, what's not, and where we should focus our efforts.
- Track how people discover Rivertree and interact with our content over time.
- Build reporting systems for website traffic, email engagement, lead generation, and conversion rates.
- Implement and manage campaign tracking, including UTM links, website analytics, and conversion tracking.
- Understand the difference between new subscribers, long-term subscribers, active prospects, and previously engaged leads.
- Identify which content, campaigns, and channels generate the most qualified opportunities.
- Develop dashboards and regular reports that help us make better marketing decisions.
- Recommend improvements based on actual performance rather than assumptions.3) Email Marketing & Copywriting
- Own the execution and ongoing improvement of our email marketing strategy.
- Write and improve email campaigns that educate, engage, and encourage action.
- Manage our newsletter distribution and subscriber experience.
- Create welcome sequences for new subscribers.
- Develop educational email campaigns that build trust over time.
- Write follow-up emails for webinars, resource downloads, and prospective client inquiries.
- Test subject lines, calls to action, messaging, and email formats.
- Continuously improve email engagement and conversion rates.
- Maintain a consistent brand voice across all marketing communications.4) Content Distribution & Optimization
- Help us get more value out of every piece of content we create.
- Manage the publishing and distribution of YouTube videos, podcasts, and short-form content.
- Identify opportunities to turn long-form videos and podcasts into compelling short-form clips.
- Coordinate the editing, packaging, scheduling, and publishing of content across YouTube Shorts, Instagram Reels, and other relevant platforms.
- Improve titles, descriptions, thumbnails, captions, and calls to action.
- Test different content formats and distribution strategies.
- Find creative ways to connect educational content with our newsletter, resources, webinars, and prospective client experience.
- Maintain an organized content calendar and ensure consistent execution.5) Webinars, Campaigns & Lead Management
- Help us create marketing campaigns that turn educational content into deeper engagement.
- Plan and execute educational webinars and online events.
- Build webinar registration pages, email reminders, follow-up sequences, and post-event campaigns.

- Manage downloadable resources and the systems used to deliver them.
- Develop campaigns that encourage subscribers to take the next appropriate step.
- Identify opportunities to improve conversion rates throughout our marketing process.
- Coordinate with internal team members and outside contractors when needed.6) Marketing Systems, Technology & AIBuild a modern, efficient marketing operation that can scale as Rivertree grows.
- Own the day-to-day operation of our marketing technology and automation tools.
- Connect systems so information moves accurately between platforms.
- Identify opportunities to eliminate manual work through automation.
- Use AI tools to improve marketing workflows, research, content repurposing, and campaign execution.
- Document marketing processes and create repeatable systems.
- Evaluate new marketing tools and recommend improvements.
