Claims Counsel / Senior Liability Claims Adjuster

What You'll Do: Manage complex, high-exposure liability claims from investigation through resolution Handle catastrophic claims involving death or severe injury exposures Conduct detailed coverage analysis and policy interpretation Issue or advise on Reservation of Rights (ROR) letters and coverage determinations Manage litigation strategy in collaboration with defense counsel and internal stakeholders Evaluate damages, establish reserves, and negotiate complex settlements on high-value claims Provide guidance on coverage positions and strategic claim resolution

Required Experience: Juris Doctor (JD) with active bar membership in good standing OR at least 5 years of senior-level experience handling complex liability claims (e.g., commercial auto/trucking, general liability, excess/umbrella, professional liability) Active U.S. Adjuster License (any state accepted) Experience handling high-exposure liability claims, often involving six-figure to multi-million-dollar reserves Proven experience with professional liability claims Experience managing general liability (GL) claims Experience with D&O (Directors & Officers) claims Experience with Excess/Commercial Umbrella claims Experience handling surety claims Experience with class action litigation claims Strong background in coverage analysis and policy interpretation Preferred Experience Environmental liability claims Experience working closely with coverage counsel or legal teams
