Class A Yard Driver

Job Duties: Move and position trailers throughout the yard Safely operate yard hostler equipment Stage trailers for loading and unloading Complete trailer moves efficiently and safely Follow all site and transportation safety procedures Driving Requirements Valid CDL-A license DOT Medical Card FMCSA Clearinghouse registered and clear MVR 1 year CDL experience (within the past 3 years) No more than 3 moving violations/at-fault accidents (within the past 3 years) No DUI, reckless driving, or serious violations (within the past 5 years) Yard hostling experience preferred No-touch freight Must be available for two Saturdays per month Local position with no over-the-road travel

What You Will Do: As a Class A Yard Driver you will safely operate vehicles to transport goods, materials, or equipment while following established routes, schedules, and safety regulations. You will perform vehicle inspections, maintain required documentation, communicate with dispatch or customers as needed, and help ensure deliveries are completed safely, accurately, and on time while maintaining a professional appearance and commitment to customer service.

Physical Requirements: Ability to sit for extended periods while safely operating a vehicle. Ability to enter and exit vehicles frequently throughout the workday. Ability to lift, move, or secure freight and materials when required by the assignment. Ability to perform vehicle inspections and work safely in varying weather and road conditions.

Preferred Experience: Previous professional driving, delivery, transportation, or logistics experience is preferred. Experience operating commercial vehicles, delivery trucks, box trucks, or tractor-trailers is beneficial depending on the assignment. Familiarity with electronic logging devices (ELDs), GPS navigation, routing software, or transportation documentation is considered an asset.
