Quarry Production & Maintenance Lead
Location: Nelson County, KY
Pay: $30–$35/hour + Overtime
Estimated Annual Earnings: $85,000–$100,000 based on 50-hour workweek
About the Opportunity:
We are seeking a hands-on Quarry Leader to oversee daily production and equipment maintenance at our Bardstown, KY quarry. This is a great opportunity for someone with a background in quarry operations, aggregate production, heavy civil, mining, or industrial equipment maintenance who enjoys working with their hands while leading a team. In this role, you will split your time between hands-on maintenance and production responsibilities and leading a small crew. You'll play an important role in keeping equipment running safely, minimizing downtime, and ensuring production goals are met.
What You'll Do:
Perform hands-on maintenance and repairs on crushers, screens, conveyors, pumps, and related equipment.
Troubleshoot mechanical issues, identify worn components, and make repairs to minimize downtime.
Oversee daily production activities and address equipment or operational issues as they arise.
Lead, train, and mentor maintenance employees, assign work, and coordinate maintenance priorities.
Perform screen changes, crusher liner replacements, conveyor repairs and adjustments, pump servicing, and wear-part replacements.
Coordinate maintenance activities to keep production running safely and efficiently.
Support the plant manager and provide leadership coverage when needed.
Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment while following MSHA requirements and company policies.
What We're Looking For:
Experience in a quarry, aggregate plant, heavy civil, mining, or related maintenance-focused environment.
Hands-on mechanical troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance experience with industrial or heavy equipment.
Ability to lead a crew, coordinate work, and help keep production on schedule.
Basic welding ability.
Strong commitment to safety, reliability, and consistent attendance.
Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office and email.
Compensation and Benefits:
$30–$35 per hour, depending on experience.
Time-and-a-half overtime pay.
Typical 50-hour workweek, with estimated annual earnings of $85,000–$100,000.Medical, dental, and vision insurance.401(k) with a company match of 100% on contributions up to 4%.15 days of PTO.8 paid holidays.
Potential discretionary bonus of up to 15% if the position progresses into a management role.

Schedule:
Typically 6:30 AM–4:30 PM.Approximately 50 hours per week. Occasional Saturdays and extended shifts may be required during peak production periods.
