Remote · Commission-only · Venture ecosystem One of the largest constraints that the entrepreneurial/venture ecosystem faces in private markets is a lack of visibility and liquidity - want to help us solve this for founders and investors? Entrepreneurs repeatedly rebuild the same company story for investors, while investors struggle to maintain current information on companies over time. To solve this, we've built a first-party data layer and discovery engine to power private markets. Venturebase is the living-profile and permissioned data platform for private markets — enabling companies to share their first-party-supplied data and progress with investors, accelerators, early-stage funds and engaged audience members in order to stay connected and streamline diligence for capital raising and beyond. We're a driven and experienced entrepreneurial team. At this stage in our company, we want every new human addition to have a passion for entrepreneurship, genuine excitement about Venturebase as a platform, and a desire to help us shape our company. We're looking to hire for a high-touch GTM/Sales role. Your job: find a deliberate and scoped number of great-fit accounts, understand their problem, earn their trust, and turn them into lasting customers. You'll primarily sell to two audiences: Accelerators and early-stage funds Seed/Series A+ stage companies This is not a high-volume outbound role. We don't count emails. We care that you found the right account, reached the right person, and moved a real conversation forward. If your plan is to load 10,000 contacts into a sequence, this probably isn't the right seat for you at this time. What also matters as we review: Network — you already know founders, investors, operators, and accelerators. Ecosystem fluency — you understand how early stage ventures and funds actually operate. Judgment — you know who has the problem and how to approach them without burning relationship capital. Accountability — reliable, transparent, self-motivated and comfortable owning outcomes.
Experience:
previous sales, business development or venture ecosystem experience is valuable, but there is no specific career path or credential we're requiring. Compensation & Role Mechanics: Independent Contractor position. Commission-only, no base salary. Tiered and favorable commissions, up to 40% for qualified deals within certain time windows, scaling with volume/thresholds. This role has the potential to earn up to $350k per year for a highly-successful person. Potential equity awards available at defined milestones. We recognize that commission-only compensation is a meaningful economic proposition. Our goal is to be fair and measured while providing significant upside for someone who builds a strong, repeatable book of business. To apply, please do the following three (3) things (initially, the following can be more useful to us than a PDF résumé.):Tell us why you're genuinely excited about Venturebase as a platform. Tell us the first account you'd go after, who you'd reach, how you'd reach them, and why they have this problem right now. Kindly answer the two simple screening questions here on LinkedIn
