Position Summary: The Machine Operator is responsible for operating laundry production equipment and ensuring linen is properly processed, inspected, sorted, and prepared for final delivery. This role supports efficient production flow while maintaining quality, safety, and productivity standards.

Key Responsibilities: Feed, operate, and monitor assigned laundry production machinery or conveyor systems. Sort, fold, and prepare linen items for final delivery. Inspect linen for holes, raveled seams, stains, and other defects. Separate linen requires stain treatment or rewash and route accordingly. Stack and count linen accurately for distribution to hospital customers. Clean and maintain machines, carts, floors, and work areas within the department. Accurately complete all required production and productivity reporting at the end of each shift. Route missorted textile products to the appropriate processing area. Monitor equipment operation and immediately report malfunctions, unusual noises, or safety concerns to maintenance or a supervisor. Rotate and assist in other department areas as needed based on staffing and production demands; may perform multiple tasks during a shift. Consistently meet or exceed minimum production standards and support continuous improvement of production goals. Follow all safety, quality, and operational procedures at all times.

Qualifications: Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment. Strong attention to detail and quality. Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks. Basic reading, counting, and documentation skills.

Work Environment: Industrial laundry or production facility. Exposure to moving machinery, conveyor systems, and textile products.
