About the Role:
We're looking for a Junior Front End Engineer to help build Chekhub's core web platform. You'll work closely with product, design, and senior engineers to turn complex operational workflows into fast, intuitive interfaces for the mission critical teams who rely on Chekhub every day. This is a hands-on role with mentorship and room to grow your skills as the team scales.
Responsibilities:
Build and maintain performant, accessible front-end features across Chekhub's React-based web application.
Work with product and design to translate operational workflows into clear, intuitive interfaces.
Collaborate with senior engineers through code reviews and pairing, following established front-end architecture and standards.
Partner with backend engineers to integrate APIs and ship features end to end.
Other tasks, duties, and responsibilities as assigned or as business needs require.
Requirements:
1+ years of experience in front-end development (professional, internship, or substantial project work), ideally within a B2B SaaS environment. Working proficiency in React.js and modern JavaScript (ES6+).Familiarity with state management (Redux, Context API, or similar) and modern build tooling (Webpack, npm, or Yarn).Solid understanding of HTML5, CSS3, and responsive design, with awareness of cross-browser compatibility and accessibility standards. Familiarity with AI tools for productivity (Claude, ChatGPT, or similar).Eager learner who takes feedback well and can work with growing autonomy in a fast-paced, startup environment. Must be located in the Raleigh, NC area.
Preferred Skills:
Exposure to UI/UX design tools or design systems (Figma or similar).A portfolio, GitHub, or personal projects showcasing front-end work.
