Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Float Discipline: RN Start Date: 11/30/2026 Duration: 12 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, days Employment Type: Travel Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse (RN) – Med/Surg & Telemetry Float Pool – Georgia Start Date: November 30, 2026 Location: Augusta, Georgia Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants Schedule: Every other weekend required (approximately 6 weekends per 13-week contract); flexible scheduling across multiple units; holiday coverage required based on assignment period; maximum 7 days requested time off per contract Highlights: Float Pool position serving 5 Medical/Surgical and Medical/Surgical Telemetry units across hospital campuses Patient population includes adults to geriatrics with all potential Med/Surg and MS/Tele diagnoses Nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:5-6 in a primary care nursing model Epic EMR required (hard stop); additional systems include Pyxis and SBAR May float between sister campuses located approximately 3 miles apart 13-week contract with orientation hours included; first-time travelers accepted with minimum 1 year experience Requirements: Current Georgia RN license or active Compact state license Minimum 1 year of recent Med/Surg or Telemetry experience required Epic EMR experience is mandatory (non-negotiable requirement) Current BLS certification required Experience with patient ratios of 5-6 patients preferred Ability to perform vital sign checks and blood glucose monitoring independently Flexibility to float across multiple Med/Surg and Telemetry units as needed Full compliance documentation must be completed by Tuesday prior to start date Why It's a Great Opportunity: This Float Pool position offers diverse clinical experience across multiple Medical/Surgical and Telemetry units, allowing you to build versatile skills while serving adult and geriatric patient populations.
