Job Description: Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Valid license or certification as a School Psychologist (or eligibility in the state)
- Masters or Doctoral degree in School Psychology or a closely related field
- Experience conducting comprehensive psychological assessments and evaluations
- Strong understanding of Response to Intervention (RTI) and Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS)
- Ability to develop and implement evidence-based interventions
- Excellent communication skills for collaborating with educators, administrators, and families
- Previous experience in a school setting highly preferred, but passionate new graduates are encouraged to apply
Primary Responsibilities:
- Perform assessments to identify students needs, learning styles, and areas for development
- Interpret evaluation results and contribute to the creation of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Work closely with teachers, counselors, and other professionals to deliver effective strategies and supports
- Conduct individual and group counseling as needed
- Offer crisis intervention and provide support for students and staff during challenging situations
- Participate in meetings, planning sessions, and professional development initiatives
- Advocate for student mental health and well-being within the school community
