Lab Technician Position Join our dynamic team in Decatur, IL, as a Lab Technician on the 2nd shift from 3pm-11pm. We offer a competitive pay rate of $21.42/hour. This entry-level position provides a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in one of the four analytical aisles within our QC laboratory.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare process and/or finished product samples for analysis.
Perform analytical testing using instrumental and wet chemistry procedures.
Record results accurately using computerized data systems.
Complete training on one analytical aisle to advance to the Laboratory Technician I position.
Ensure compliance with all safety policies to prevent on-the-job injuries.
Conduct at least one Laboratory Safety audit per month and complete a minimum of three safety engagements monthly.
Demonstrate proficiency in math skills necessary for lab testing calculations.
Utilize computer skills effectively for various tasks.
Perform additional duties as assigned by quality department management.
Qualifications:
High school level math skills required; computer skills preferred.
Good attendance and punctuality are highly valued.
Completion of a college science lab is preferred, but not required. Relevant work experience is considered.
Understanding of laboratory environments and familiarity with cGMP, FDA, and other regulatory requirements is beneficial.
Experience with laboratory instrumentation such as HPLC, GC, and IC is a plus.
