Finance Operations Manager

About the role: As finance lead at Nudge, you will: Own day-to-day finance operations across purchasing, procurement, vendor management, accounting workflows, and spend processesManage the purchasing process, including purchase requests, approvals, vendor coordination, order tracking, and issue resolutionPartner with teams across engineering, research, operations, and workplace to make sure critical equipment, materials, services, and supplies are purchased accurately and on timeBuild and improve the systems, tools, and controls that support purchasing, approvals, expense management, vendor onboarding, and financial operations generallyMaintain accurate records across invoices, purchase orders, contracts, vendor information, budgets, and spend documentationHelp ensure spend is well‑managed, properly approved, and visible to the right stakeholdersIdentify bottlenecks in purchasing and finance workflows and implement practical improvements that help the company move fasterSupport tax, treasury, audits, insurance, and other finance‑related processes as neededAbout you We are looking for someone with at least 10 years of industry experience. Regardless of career level, you should have: Experience in finance operations, procurement, and purchasing in a fast‑moving startupStrong understanding of purchasing workflows, vendor management, approvals, invoices, and spend controlsHands‑on experience with accounting operations, AP, reconciliations, close support, and financial documentationStrong organizational skills and attention to detailComfort working cross‑functionally with technical, research, and operations teamsGood judgment around spend, prioritization, approvals, and when to escalate issuesComfort switching between process‑building and hands‑on executionExcellent written and verbal communication skillsHigh integrity and strong professional judgment
